John Lewis, Jr. is Global Chief Diversity Officer, The Coca-Cola Company. He previously served as the company's
Senior Managing Compliance and Global Anti-Bribery Counsel, leading all compliance programming for the Company’s North
America business operations (approximately 70,000 employees). Prior to joining Coca-Cola, John practiced in Kansas City,
Missouri, where he maintained an active civil trial practice and was a federal court-appointed bankruptcy trustee, and a
court-appointed disciplinary hearing officer where he heard and rendered disciplinary findings against Missouri licensed
attorneys facing bar complaints.
Outside of his duties at The Coca-Cola Company, John served for five years as a member of the Atlanta Board
of Ethics, including three years as its Chair. He also served as a member and ultimately as Vice Chair of the
Board of The Coca-Cola Company Family Federal Credit Union (personnel and loan committees). John currently serves
as a member of the Board of the George Washington University Law Alumni Association and as chair of The Coca-Cola
Company Legal Division Diversity Council, which is actively designing and implementing a diversity strategic plan
for the legal function.
John earned a B.A., cum laude, in Economics from Morehouse College and a Law Degree from The George Washington
University National Law Center.
