Marvin Banks has extensive capital market contacts in the public, private and bank finance sectors and enjoys an outstanding
reputation with the equity investor community. He is well-known for his leadership skills, complex decision analysis and strategic
Marvin previously served as Storage Post Self Storage’s COO, managing operations of the company’s network of self-storage
facilities in addition to operations for the Storage Post management company. He has more than 25 years of experience in real estate,
including having served as the President and Chief Financial Officer of Cortland Partners, where he remains a corporate advisor. He spent
over a decade in executive leadership positions for Gables Residential, where he was CFO, a member of Executive Committee and was instrumental
in the (IPO) sale of the company to ING Clarion in 2005. He has also served Trammell Crow Residential and Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young).
Marvin was a founding director of Private Bank of Buckhead. He chairs the Finance Committee for the Children’s Museum of Atlanta and is
on the board of the Georgia Council for International Visitors. He teaches graduate courses on REITs at Emory University, has been on the faculty
at The University of Texas at Austin and taught for a number of years at Georgia State University in graduate and doctoral programs. Marvin is a
graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting.
