Carol Lynn Upshaw is Vice President at Private Mortgage Services, a division of Private
Bank of Buckhead. She has worked in the mortgage industry for nearly 20 years and has
been a Georgia Association of Mortgage Brokers (GAMB) ‘Top Gun’ for eight consecutive
years. Previously, Carol Lynn was principal of Upshaw Lending Professionals.
“I genuinely appreciate the opportunity to serve clients old and new in what you might
call the old-fashioned way – with tailored, high-touch service – along with the latest
products and technology,” she says. “The best part of my job is being able to help people
in a creative way financially; I love the interaction with people and finding the mortgage
solution that best suits their wants and needs.”
Carol Lynn was for a time a regular guest on Money Matters with Wes Moss on AM 750 and
now 95.5 FM news talk WSB, discussing what’s current in the mortgage industry in Atlanta.
She serves on the board of the Kimberly Kim Foundation, which provides much-needed “gap”
funding to Emory’s ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease)
Center, and previously volunteered with Visions Anew, a divorce recovery organization. She
and her husband of 32 years (a Realtor) live north of Atlanta on Lake Lanier. They have twin
sons who are attending dental school and a daughter who recently made them grandparents for
the first time.
