Steven Alexander is President of Private Mortgage Services, a division of Private Bank
of Buckhead. Steven led the formation of this dedicated mortgage solutions unit. He is
the Georgia Association of Mortgage Brokers’ 2009 Broker of the Year and that organization’s
former president. Steven brought part of the National Guaranty Mortgage Corporation (NGMC)
team with him; he was the founder and principal of NGMC, and has 25 years’ experience in the
mortgage industry. Prior to NGMC, he was Branch Manager for Chase Manhattan of Georgia.
“This hybrid approach, adding a mortgage broker’s access to even more mortgage products
to our already strong proprietary mortgage products strengthens our offerings,” says Charlie
Crawford, PBB’s president, CEO and chairman. “And Private Mortgage Services, will deliver that
lending strength and know-how in the high-touch way our clients are accustomed to.”
He notes that Private Mortgage Services offers a full range of mortgage products: Purchase,
Refinance, Investment, Second Home, Construction, Multiple collateral, Fixed second, Home equity,
Lot loan, and more.
The Richmond, Virginia-native earned a degree in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College. He and
his wife of 19 years have twins – a boy and a girl – who are juniors in high school. Steven has
served on the parents committee for the Atlanta Speech School and Woodward Academy, is part of
Leadership Atlanta’s 2010 Class, and is an active member of Buckhead Rotary, the Atlanta History
Center and the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. The avid tennis player and deep sea
fisherman lives in Buckhead.
