Welma Baer is the Deposit Operations Manager
at Private Bank of Buckhead. She brings to the bank extensive knowledge
of law, real estate and banking operations, and prides herself on accuracy
and helping the bank grow and become successful. Prior to joining the
bank, Welma worked as an Operations Specialist for United Americas Bank.
At Private Bank of Buckhead, her primary duties include managing the
Deposit Operations department, developing policies and procedures related
to deposit accounts, and managing all aspects of Internet Banking.
Welma has achieved the distinguished Accredited ACH Professional (AAP)
designation. An AAP is a leader and authority in the electronic payment
field. The AAP designation recognizes banking industry professionals for
their understanding and acknowledge of the ACH Network and the payments
industry. Having an AAP on staff reinforces that Private Bank of Buckhead
is continually at the forefront of the information chain regarding current
changes and updates to the Electronic Payment System and current Federal
and state payments industry regulations.
Welma was born in Central Brazil, where she earned a Law Degree. She
moved to Atlanta in 1997 and in 2005 became a United States Citizen.
She is fluent in three languages and freelances as a English-Portuguese-Spanish
translator. She devotes her spare time to being a Volunteer Assistant
Minister with the Izunome Association/Atlanta Johrei Center. Welma loves to
cook, spend time with her friends and family and cheer for the Georgia
Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves. She and her husband, Preston, live in Chamblee.
